So I was chatting with my friend this morning and somewhere along the way the topic of porno films came up..
To this day I can never figure out why guys get soo excited about porn...which is precisely wat i asked my friend...I mean..its not like they have a "climax" scene.. :)
But what I did learn today was that...much to my amazement there are apparently genres within porn films...Which is weird..cos how many creative ways are there to show 2 ppl doing it? I personally call porn films "dick-chick-dick-chick" films.. :)
Cos that's what they are...U got a guy..and more often than not he has a weird looking 10inch pole in his pants that looks like it will positively kill someone..and a woman (more often than not there's more than one of them) who looks like she'll probably have a better time getting her teeth drilled instead!!!!
But I guess it's each man to his taste...My guess is that porn was invented FOR guys BY guys..
While women do enjoy erotica I don't see too many women queuing up to watch dick-chick-dick-chick films :)

hehehehehehehheeh... yeah yeah... even i have wondered why boys watch all the porn!
Men are evolutionarily wired and hence genetically predisposed to be aroused visually. Hence the affliction to porn.
Woman lack the context to perceive this just like men lacking the context of understanding shoe shopping.
The problem with most porn is that its crude and not even remotely erotic. And yes, very dick chick. :)
Add a storyline, a semblance of characterization and some sensitive (dont laugh) direction and voila, we would have a winner!
Women would lap it up too. Unfortunately, there's few and far between that belong to this variety.
As for why men like it even the way it is - instant gratification is my take. Although, I quite like anony's comment.
