For the past few days I've been trying to get a half decent post out...If u had access to my blogger id and password you will see that I have many drafts for various topics in my inbox...ranging from "Arranged Marriages (the finer aspects)", , "My First Boyfriend (if you can call it that)", "The Face of Terror", "My attempt at poetry", "Liquid Courage" and many more...
Sadly, all of these topics are incomplete since I am having writer's block and words are failing me..I'm unable to put a decent introduction/ purpose for the post, a middle and an end together!! So I thought the best solution would be to mix all these drafts into one post..such that its OK that I only write a few lines about each topic!!! (muahahahhaha...I'm clever like that!! :)) So here goes...
"Arranged Marriages (the finer aspects)" - While I'm completely at peace with the idea of an arranged marriage..the thought of sharing my very large double bed (which I have gotten VERY used to sleeping on alone) with pretty much a random dude scares the living crap out of me...I mean..we all make weird bodily sounds in the privacy of our own room...be it leaving trumpet like farts in the morning..worse still..the real stinky ones which hit you in the face as soon as u pass it...snoring loudly..talking in your sleep..or just drooling all over your pillow in your sleep...
Just the fact that I have to be wary of all these actions and act in a controlled manner - Not that I personally admit to all of them (ok..maybe a couple) is very unnerving...
"My First Boyfriend (if you can call it that)" - I had my first boyfriend when I was in school...in the 10th standard...not that the word boyfriend meant much in those days..it just meant...extended / late night phone conversations...canteen treats (5Rs for a samosa) and hanging out during lunch break...Best / Worst part is (depending on how u look at it)...I don't think I even liked the guy that much when I started going around...and as lame as it sounds I sort of said yes to him only cos all my other friends were going around...I remember me and my best friend started going around the same day..November 14th (Amidst Children's Day celebrations at school:) Thankfully...my "relationship" lasted a grand total of 3 months! :)
"My idea of poetry" - Surfing through random blogs I see such beautiful poems being written..The play on words adopted by some writers is mind boggling and more often than not I wish I could write like them...Sadly even if my life depended on it..I could never put together such thought provoking, heart rendering poems ...I swear I took a stab at it..I tried to pen my thoughts on "serious" topics like 'Meaning of Life' and 'Love Broke' ... But somehow I ended up borrowing lines from songs :((Time of your life - Green Day for the former and Bleeding Love - Leona Lewis for the latter) Then I tried my luck at writing funny poems...but somewhere it got stuck in my head that I have to make the words rhyme :( So finally my poem - if you can call it that (sounds more like TR dialogues) ended up sounding like this:
If you do kusu
Then you will kill kosu!!!!!!!!!!!
I did manage to write a couple more..but didn't see the point in embarrassing myself any further..
I do have a couple of more drafts in my inbox which I hope will eventually materialise into a full fledged post one day...So I think I will end here for now...

Trust only you to come up with such posts and rhyming poetry. :P I am sure Chitty Cat will more than agree with you on the marriage bit. ;)
Another fun post, as always loved reading this one too!:-)
@theanalog kid - if my memory serves me right wasnt ogden nash the poet featured in our 12th std english books..some poem abt teeth or a visit to a dentist or somethin along those lines...
@popsie - i dont like to disappoint the readers :P and looks like me and chitty cat are on the same page!!! :)
@princess - ya the poem about the visit to the dentist. (i had it in my 10std (cbsc) text book.)
some tortures are physical and some are mental
but the one that is both is dental
seeee... u shud write like that.. but i think ur kusu kosu rhyme wudave given ogden nash a run for his teeth :D
i know what kosu means, what means kusu? :(
ayyo dont even ask me to post a comment on 'sharing a bed' trauma - the only hope i have for myself is that i shall win a posthumous nobel prize for 'peace' for my 'marrying and living in is dead - space is in' funda :P
hopefully gen next will buy into the 'have an affair with ur neighbour if ur so needy' aspect of it. at least u have the joy of going back to your own home and space whenever u want. Ppl will be happy n peaceful, n will be able to give nitrogen farts happily ever after :)
marriage trauma is my favorite trauma
you have encouraged me to create a new label called shaadi/barbaadi
pls to also read off this angstist post:

In 'Fools rush in', Salma Hayek makes Mathew Perry stay in the restroom while she simultaniously brushes and sits on a commode and does what ppl do sitting on a commode!...and her take would be, if you're a couple there should be nothing to wince or be embarassed about :)...Your bed sharing reservations reminded me of that!..Like chitty said, get yourself a neighbor :)...But pliss to stop writing poetry, however brief they're...
Chitty - 'kusu' is a tamilian's fart...
@chitty cat - well if no one nominates u for a nobel peace prize, I WILL :) BRAVO I SAY!!! ;)
@frissko - FYI, I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee that movie :) and as for gettin myself a neighbour....as luck would have it i have 2 mighty fine lads living necxt door to me..but one is in 12th and the other in 6th...ummmmm...im pretty sure i could go to jail for that :P
Arranged marriage has a lot more give-ups from both of them.... just a gush of mixed feeling when I read through these....
AGB I am depressed. I am depressed because i am thinking abut what you just wrote.
Mix and mash- me thinks you've hit on the antidote for writer's block!its quite nice actually. As for the poetry,well...keep trying :)
@balu - there is no doubt that there are countless more "give ups" or compromises one has to make in an arranged marriage...this is just me being me and listing some silly ones..
@manas - no depression, suppression and all..not worth it.. :)
@ satish - it truly is the perfect antidote..and im ashamed to say iv used it many times before :)
