LOL. this was awesome! i really dont know why people would write like that. it takes more time and effort. and not SMS's but also emails. sheesh! it takes ages for me to understand, like this post of yours!

well

the whole concept of sms language started cos it was like the modern telegram - fit in as many words in as short a message as possible, and save your pennies ;)

of course if time is money then this sure is a big waste!

but yes - it is massively annoying when u do it on email.

i heard hong kong or some english speaking asian place started a new sms trend where misspelt words were the in-thing

sumthig like:
"im at good" instead of "im at home"

now that's WEIRD!

In mrn spik 'morons' is splt as 'mrns'...nd d lst lin shd've bin 'kik up der az'.

But if you're a mobile carrying 18 year old, the more the economy of letters, the cooler/quicker you are...Necassity and habit do grammar and spelling permanent damage :)...

@vinni - its worse when its on emails...sms is also understandable to some extent... :)

@chitty cat - u wouldnt believe it but there was a time when me and my best friend (we were extremely jobless at the time) would do the same thing...send sms's using the T9 option and guess wat the word was..so "Citag" was "Bitch" etc :)
yeah..pls dont judge me..as i said..it was a long time ago :)

@frissko - im takin ur suggestion and editing my last line..thanks...and for once im glad im no longer 18 and never went through this phase! :)

I c ths bcmng a norm in a few generations from now, if it does then Wren & Martin will go out of business or script a new one!!! Till then it would be tough grammar classes in school!!

hehe !! That was good :) . Every once in a while i see mails ( in a biz school forum ) formulated this way - when all along they are emphasising on the "connects with biz readers".

Liked the post!

hey mrs shrek!
thanks for blog rolling me
i would recommend that u try the 'blog list' feature in blogger. its a new widget that allows u to link blog rss feeds - so u not only have a list of blogs, but also gyaan on whether they have been updated with a new post or not.

Shorthand or craphand is *THE* most irritating/obnoxious legacy of the internet/sms age - a phenomenon that will breed inept and inefficient communication. (Yes, its working already...)
