xxx-friend....

I dont have any guy friends of my own in Chennai..The ones i do know and hang out with....are all husbands / boy friends of my girlfriends...And while I adore them completely...its not quite the same case as when I used to live in Blore a couple of years ago....I miss having guy-friends of my own...

Some people are of the belief that Men and Women can never be just friends...A la "When Harry met Sally"...But I say bollocks to that...I have tons (ok maybe not tons but more than a couple) of male friends whom I find hot as hell and whom I've NEVER thought of romantically...

Mind you these guys are a catch and are of the kind to will never let me pay everytime we go out...never let me drive back home alone in the night...Will always follow me in their own car and patiently wait outside till I have entered my house...will walk behind me in any crowded public gathering looking all macho and body guard like just so that no asshole will grope me...will encourage all my drunken escapades...Will know wat to say or do to make me smile on those rare days I;m in a fuck all mood...Will buy me meaningful presents on my bday (the CD i said i loved in passing when we were window shopping one lazy sunday afternoon)...

So this post is dedicated to the 3 maadus in blore...I miss u guys! :(

AMEN! I agree completely its possible to have friends blonging to the opposite sex.. But I also feel, the older you are, such demarcations are easier.. well i guess they call that Maturity!

@drifter - demarcations with respect to??

@theanalogkid - i LOVE madras..and i HATE blore..its so crowded wherever u go..and dont even get me started on the traffic...and sadly that city has lost its identity thanks to the huge influx of ppl..

AAAAAAAAAAA the nice guys, Ever the protective supportive friends never the object of someone's affections, Not that we are looking for that but that's our general condition. Anyway totally agree on the platonic front.

@anonymous - if there's enough alchohol involved then def can be an object of affection - but thats a different post altogether :P

P.S - why the anon comment????

i like madras too.. it has more to do with nostalgia of having spent 18 yrs there than anything tho. these days i seem to be using hypocrisy and madras in the same line more often than i would like to use. so.. also am way too used to the people and places here to be goin anywhere.
and about traffic, i dont think there is anything more beautiful than a small family huddled in a small car in a big traffic jam on a rainy night with a powercut.

@why the anonymous comment?

a) Im lazy and don't want to login.
b) Im paranoid at the thought google mining metadata about my social graph.
c) Being anonymous is waaaaay cooler than quantifying yourself with a username and possibly some blogposts. It adds an element of the unknown to the mixture.
d) I always like to believe my friends can recognize my comments from the way I write(as in style, not font hehehe).
PS: You don't know me and i don't know you. just happened across on your handle while commenting on a friends blog and thought "hmmmm, i've never read the blog of a 300pound ogre/princess before. let's see how that'd go." Say hi to donkey for me.

So if you are in a f%$k all mood and you have a ton of male friends, does that make them a very lucky bunch of guys??? Hmmm, the mind wanders...
